While working with the Innovation Studio during 2020-22 as the Graduate Extension Assistant, I had the opportunity to create marketing and graphic design projects. These included printed handouts and flyers; web content and wireframes; maps and templates; and video editing. Below are a few examples of these.
This handout is a guide for content partners who plan to submit work as part of an Innovation Studio exhibit. The exhibition space is a flexible interactive projection system showcasing innovations created NC State. It can display audio, video, images, text, and physical displays. The projection system operates through programming in information through a content management system using Django and Unity.
This how-to airport card was created for the Innovation Studio to communicate to visitors how the hover based system works and how to interact with it. The system is a bespoke experience that was created through a partnership with Relative Scale, a design firm in Raleigh, NC. It utilizes a RealSense camera to sense the user’s hand and allows the person’s hand to control the information that is displayed.
This handout is an overview of the Innovation Studio’s educational workshops and programs which focus on Futures Thinking. I worked with the External Relations Department with the NC State Library and crafted the design based on similarly designed documents from the Library’s design resources.
This is an edited and formatted video that was used in the first opening of the Innovation Studio. It consists of an interview with Lauren Caddick, one of our first content partners for the space. She discusses her work on display and the benefits of working with the Innovation Studio.
This is one last handout example created to accompany a take home workshop kit for students to learn the basics of using a Cricut Maker as a vinyl cutter.
