InLight Richmond is 1708 Gallery’s annual public, light-based art exhibition including performances, installations, sculptures, and interactive projects. I crafted many aspects of its current structure and had the opportunity to work on many related design artifacts during my time as the InLight Project Manager and the Gallery Coordinator of 1708 Gallery from 2012-2020.
Throughout my time with InLight, the audience grew from 4,000 to over 23,000. Below are some examples of design work created for the exhibit throughout the years. There are also images of many of the artworks on display from different exhibits to better illustrate the coordination and management of the public exhibition.
This is the handout program with a map of the InLight 2019 exhibit. Each year, one of these is designed for the exhibit. It is then printed and handed out during the event. This design was double-sided and tri-folded. It was designed by me in Illustrator.
Here are other examples of web design and print marketing that I designed for that particular InLight. The website is showing the potential sites that were available for artists to apply for. It was programmed in as an accordion menu. To the right are promotion designs for Style Weekly, a Richmond, VA periodical, and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. On the bottom right is a poster that was designed, printed, and distributed around Richmond.
Here is a 10-second promotional video created for a local TV ad spot and a timelapse of the exhibit at the VMFA in 2015.
Here are images of artworks from different exhibits through my time at InLight. I oversaw the coordination, management, and installation of these exhibits. I helped with and oversaw many exhibition designs and planning aspects.
